Destiny

Destiny is 1975 35’ Ta Chiao CT Pilothouse. She is weathered with old sea stories from her young expeditions of the South Pacific. Some say she may look a little neglected but she is truly in her prime. With all the custom woodwork and unique style of an old ship she has character that is rarely seen in the boating world today.

I bought her in La Paz, BCS Mexico after I sailed down from Ventura California on a friends boat. I spent 8 months working tirelessly to make her seaworthy again. She had not sailed in over 15 years and now she has completed a handful of test sails as well as she successfully made it through the eye of a class 4  hurricane on our mooring (Hurricane Odile). I lucked out with no damages and only a bit of fresh water in the bilge. Destiny is in need of some deck repairs and some motor work. Once I get these repairs done, it will be time to shake her down in the Sea of Cortez in the winter of 2016/17. Come on I’ll take you on a tour!! Click the video below.
